Terms of use
Plain-language terms. The short version: one Pro key covers one Mac, refunds are easy, and no security tool can guarantee a clean machine.
The license
A Pro key is a one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro features of the macWatchdog app on one Mac at a time. Deactivate the key in Settings › License to move it to another Mac. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. The command-line engine is separate, open source, and MIT licensed.
What macWatchdog is
macWatchdog audits macOS configuration, permissions, and persistence, and helps you manage them: reviewing launch agents, closing unneeded openings, quarantining suspicious items with a backup so changes can be undone. It is not an antivirus and does not claim to be one.
No guarantee
The security score and scan results describe what the checks found on your Mac at the time of the scan — nothing more. A perfect score means the checks found nothing to fix in what they cover; it is not a certification that your Mac is secure or free of malware, and no software can honestly make that promise. macWatchdog is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, its author is not liable for damages arising from its use.
Remediation is yours to approve
The app never changes your system on its own. Every remediation is a separate action you take, and each destructive one writes a backup first. Restoring a backup is available in the app; review what an action does before you run it.
